Screen Studio is a macOS-only screen recorder built by indie developer Adam Pietrasiak (legal entity Timpler, based in Krakow, Poland). It records the screen locally, then automatically applies cinematic effects, cursor zoom, cursor smoothing, and background framing, so tutorial and demo videos need little to no manual editing.

Pricing went subscription-only in 2026: $20/mo billed monthly or $9/mo billed annually ($108/year), with a 40% student discount; the older one-time-purchase option is no longer offered to new buyers. Recordings and transcripts are processed locally and only leave the device if a shareable link is created, though the app also sends usage analytics to PostHog and crash data to Sentry, and it is distributed only via direct DMG download - not through the Mac App Store - with no independent security audit found.
