LocalSend is an open-source alternative to AirDrop and Nearby Share that lets you send files and messages between devices over your local network. It works across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, so mismatched devices can share directly.
There is no account, no internet connection and no cloud involved — nothing leaves your Wi-Fi. Devices discover each other on the LAN, transfers are encrypted over HTTPS with a per-device TLS certificate, and you can require a PIN before a device will receive.
